About Nancies UK
nancies.org.uk is a dedicated fansite of Dave Matthews Band, intended to try and muster greater community support for the band in the UK. Shows have been few and far between as, unfortunately, so have fans of the band. Due to the way in which the band gained popularity in America and the differing tastes of American and British audiences, it is most probably true to say that the band will never become hugely popular in the UK; however there is a fanbase in the UK that is dying to hear and experience how DMB was meant to be experienced, as was proved by both shows performed during Dave's 2001 UK tour period being very successful, with tickets changing hands for upwards of £1000 ($1700). This site is here so those people who enjoy the music of Dave Matthews Band can voice their opinions and show that although it may not equal that of our American counterparts, there is a very loyal fanbase in the UK ready and waiting to see the Dave Matthews Band.
Thanks must go to my friends who, above all else, puts up with my constant fanaticism and ramblings about Dave, and continues to listen when I bring up #41 in general conversation over and over again. Thanks to Joe for pointing out the number 41 every time he sees it as I do, and the other Joe for his friendship (you may say 'what friendship?' Joe, but you and I both know its there). Thanks to Steve for not having a clue about my huge love of the band, but taking an interest anyway and, of course, thanks to Dave, Boyd, Carter, Leroi and Stefan... who, without a doubt, are the most talented group of individuals known to man.
