Contract Questions
27th of September 2003 at 12:48pm

It was thought that DMB had totally disassociated themselves from all European BMG ties - but according to some digging by German DMB site Nancies.de it seems this is not the case.

Although DMB had split certain European BMG contracts it appears they still have contracts in some countries - including the UK, France, Norway and Denmark (hence the release of Some Devil in these countries).

It was thought that since Folsom Field, True Reflections (Boyd Tinsley's solo effort) and most importantly Busted Stuff hadn't been released on European labels that DMB had completely cut all ties with europe. However, it appears that only some countries have received the short straw with Some Devil, including Germany and Belgium as well as BMG Australia.

Since every album released by the band so far has received a small tour to back it up (including shows at Glastonbury and Shepherd's Bush Empire) and a solo Dave tour in 2001 to promote Everyday, hopes are high for a new effort, even if solo by Dave, to promote Some Devil...
