| New songs! |

Crazily, I decided to stay up till 4:30am to watch the realtime setlist for the first show of the 2004 tour and discuss it with the people on the nancies.org message boards - but it was worth the effort.
Originally the new songs appeared on the realtime setlist as "New Song #1" through "New Song #4" but they were later updated on the DMB Almanac as Crazy-Easy, Joy Ride, Hello Again and Sugar Will thanks to setlists being obtained after the show which had the full titles written on them. Note that these titles are subject to change as the tour develops.
Amazingly, Crazy-Easy (New Song #1) made it onto the internet just 4 songs after it was played at the show - somebody had received a mobile phone call from an acquaitance at the show and had recorded the song and uploaded it to the internet, sharing it on the major DMB message boards.
The songs certainly have a more modern DMB feel (and by that I'm referring to The Lillywhite Sessions and Busted Stuff - not Everyday). Crazy-Easy certainly has a Sweet Up and Down feel. The songs are all available for download at Weekly Davespeak.
As for the rest of the set it featured a variety of material new and old - similar to last year, but with more commonly played songs. Seems like 2004 could be 2003 + new material, something we can all hope for anyway. |
